Oh my darling, my sweet, sweet cocoon of divine luxury melting on my tongue.
IT’S EVIL AND MAKES ME WANT TO CRY WHEN I’VE EATEN TOO MUCH!
In moderation, the odd piece of dark chocolate is actually good for you. It’s classed as a super food because of its antioxidant qualities, however in reality how many of us can stop at just one piece?
Aaaaand all those who follow a balanced diet do fall off the tracks once in a while (don’t deny it, you’re human!) and indulge in several packs of Cadbury buttons, chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.
Dis gurrl is guilty
These binges make me feel physically weak (sugar crash) and annoyed at myself for eating wayyy more than my body can handle. My solution is simple; give up chocolate for a while, cleanse it from the palate and eventually one piece WILL be enough (this is possible, I’ve succeeded before but then I stopped caring for 6 months).
My question is a little bit harder ‘How do I give up chocolate?’ Well, studies suggest that it can take 3-4 weeks of repetition/routine to make or break a habit so this will be my starting point. One whole month of ZERO chocolate!!!!!
Bit drastic?
Nope. No it’s not, I’m going to do it. It’s hard breaking up with something that’s been there for you when the peanut butter wasn’t.
You should try it too! Maybe not just with chocolate but anything you’re trying to give up! Tweet me or tag me on Instagram (both are @ptwithfranky) with your stories and pictures! I am certainly going to make a log of every time temptation passes me by.
Wish me luck…
